アフガニスタン西部で7日、マグニチュード6.3の地震など大きな地震が相次いで発生し、多くの人命が失われました。衷心より追悼の意を表します。

また、家屋の倒壊により、多くの村で壊滅的な被害が出ていると報じられています。救助活動により1人でも多くの“いのち”が救われる事を願っております。

不安な日々を過ごされている被災者の皆さまには、安寧な日常を取り戻されることを、心よりお祈り申し上げます。

Condolences to the Victims of the Earthquake in Afghanistan

On October 7, a large earthquake of magnitude 6.3 occurred in western Afghanistan with many lives lost. On behalf of Nichiren Shu, I express my sincere condolences to the victims.

Catastrophic damage in many villages due to the collapse of houses has also been reported. I hope that as many lives as possible will be saved by rescue activities and pray for the swift recovery of those who have been injured. May a peaceful life soon return to those who are living in fear and anxiety.
